ABOUT ME


Hello! My name is Shauna and I am the founder of The Online Pilates Studio. I am from Tipperary and currently live and work in Dublin.

My Pilates journey began in my 20's where I attended classes in my local gym. I had suffered from back pain, struggled with my posture and understanding my body. With a background in Primary School Teaching, it made sense to combine my Pilates passion with teaching.

I completed my training in The National Training Centre, Dublin in 2020 and I have had the privilege of working with people of all ages and abilities since. I broadened my Pilates repetoire and completed a Reformer Pilates course. I have worked in studios in Tipperary and Dublin, teaching group classes and personalised 1:1 sessions, helping clients build strength, improve posture and improve well-being.

I currently work as a tutor delivering the Mat Pilates Teacher Training Course with The Yogahub in Dublin.

When I couldn't find a permanent home for my classes, the idea for our online studio was born. Here, I get to share my love for Pilates with a wider community, helping you to achieve correct form, improved posture and a strong core.

Focus

These classes target specific areas of the body in a short focused time frame. Sessions range from 5 minutes to 20 minutes and are suitable for all levels.

Full Body Mat

This class blends traditional and contemporary Pilates to achieve a full body workout. You will build strength, control and flexibility. Levelled classes include beginner, intermediate and advanced.

Sculpt

This class blends Pilates principles with resistance training to build strength and control. Weights are optional, but we recommend starting light to focus on technique and muscle engagement. Some Pilates experience required.

Pilates Ball

This class uses the Pilates ball to challenge your practice. The ball challenges your core and stability using fun and dynamics movements. There is an option to complete the class without a ball.

Why Pilates?
